Campbelltown Caving & Outdoor GroupThe CCOG was formed in 1972, founded by Dennis Parker. Active in the late 70s and early 80s, they were still listed as an ASF Associated Organisation in 1991. The Group is no longer current but we have no information about when activities ceased. The Group journal was Grothadda, first
produced in 1977 as part of a drive to develop the already-active
caving club into a serious speleological organisation with the
intent of applying for full ASF membership. There were two
issues a year. The numbering became a total mess and there is some
confusion about the later issues, with numbers being crossed out and
rewritten - inconsitently - by several different hands. Grothadda
shifted to an annual publication in 1982.
The more
frequent Newsletter continued until 1978, with
every third issue appearing in Grothadda,
and a monthly 'Newslink' is mentioned in 1982.. Copyright is
retained by the original authors.
